True Lemon is a popular brand of crystallized citrus powders. I joined the (very lean) marketing team in early 2017 as a social media intern. Myself and the other intern were responsible for social media. While we didn’t have a robust budget, we employed our creativity and resourcefulness to create a look and feel for the brand on social media. The brand reached 10K Instagram followers when my time with them came to an end in 2018.

Our biggest opportunity was transitioning social media to just showing their products, to showing how the product can be used in every facet of everyday life. There was also larger opportunity to show the different product lines vs. just the crystallized powders. We developed regular social media content, and I started two series: #TravelWithTrue, showing how easy the products are to take on the go, and #TrueTips, showing the different creative ways to use the products outside of beverage consumption.
