Heirwaves Online, an online magazine focused on music-first journalism, brought me on as their Nashville correspondent in 2019. I covered shows around town and also interviewed artists about upcoming new music and other projects. They promoted me to Senior Nashville correspondent in late 2019 before ceasing operations. I was fortunate to get to work with a variety of artists and their teams to bring their stories to life.

I pitched and created a “Songwriters Series” focusing on the songwriters behind many of the biggest hits you hear on the radio, TV and more. Getting to interview the songwriters and tell their stories and also dive deeper into how the songs they are known for came to life was truly a treat. I was responsible for artist outreach, coordinating, executing and transcribing interviews and writing the pieces.
